You arrive at our Grand Prairie studio (or we come to your location) and we spend a few minutes getting comfortable before we ever pick up a camera.
We discuss how and where you'll use your images so we can match the background, lighting, and style to your specific purpose.

How long does a headshot session take?

The Standard Headshot session is 20-30 minutes - efficient and focused.

The Signature Portrait session runs approximately one hour and includes time for multiple looks, backgrounds, or locations.

Most clients are in and out faster than they expected.

What should I wear to my headshot session?

Solid colors generally photograph better than busy patterns. Wear something you would wear to an important client meeting - something that reflects how you want to be seen professionally. We will discuss wardrobe options during your consultation or when you book. When in doubt, bring two outfit options and we'll choose together.

Do you offer headshots on location or only in the studio?

Both. Our Grand Prairie studio provides a clean, controlled environment ideal for traditional professional headshots. For Signature Portraits and brand sessions, we can come to your office, a location meaningful to your business, or an outdoor setting in the DFW area. Location options are discussed during your planning consultation.

How quickly will I receive my finished images?

Standard headshot sessions are turned around within 24-48 hours. Signature Portrait timelines are confirmed at booking. If you have a specific deadline - a conference, a launch, a media feature - let us know and we will do everything we can to meet it.

I'm uncomfortable in front of the camera. Will that be a problem?

It's actually the most common thing we hear. Almost every client says they're not photogenic or they hate having their picture taken - and almost every one of them leaves saying that was easier than they expected. You'll be guided through the entire session. You don't need to know how to pose. You show up and we'll take it from there!

What is the difference between the Standard Headshot Session and the Signature Portrait Session?

Standard Headshots:

Includes the session In Studio & 2 web optimized digital files.
Designed to be quick and efficient.
Can be scheduled online via link on this page.
They are in the studio only and usually 20-30 minutes max.
These are typically head and shoulders only.
Good for when you need a good professional headshot, one that works for all your online media - website, LinkedIn, MS Teams, social media.
We have a quick planning phone call to determine any specifics you are needing, discuss what to wear, and background options.
"Web optimized" files are smaller files so they don't bog down the speed online. They are not printable files.
You can purchase additional web optimized files for use online and/or you may purchase printable files.

Signature Portrait:

Includes the session In Studio or On Location & 3 full resolution printable digital files
These are Standard Headshots on steroids, so to speak, or a mini Branding session.
These can be in the studio or on location.
We have a more extensive planning conversation about what you need your finished images to accomplish for you and how you will need to use the finished images.
Includes head and shoulder poses as well as waist up and 3/4 length.
Photography time is usually around 1 hour.
These can be used for all of your online needs but because you will receive full resolution printable files, their use extends beyond online.
Additional files are available for purchase. If you desire a framed canvas portrait of any of your images, I can handle that for you, cost based on size requested.
