A New Chapter: Welcome to Lea Rhea Fine Art

Today is a special day for me.

After months & years of photographing, curating, refining, and building, I am excited to officially introduce Lea Rhea Fine Art.

The website is live, and a new chapter of my photographic journey has come together.

For those who know me through Lea Rhea Photography, this may seem like something new—and in some ways, it is. But in another sense, it has been part of my photography journey all along.

More than portraits

Many of you know me for my portrait work. Through Lea Rhea Photography, I have the privilege of photographing families, high school seniors, and professionals throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

I love that work and that is not changing.  Lea Rhea Photography continues.

There is something incredibly meaningful about creating photographs that preserve a person's place in a family, a milestone in someone's life, or the confidence that comes from seeing yourself represented well.

Lea Rhea Photography and Lea Rhea Fine Art are two sides of my photographic work.

Lea Rhea Photography remains my home for portraits—families, seniors, and professional headshots and branding. That work isn't changing. Lea Rhea Fine Art gives another part of my photography a place of its own: the landscapes, places, nature, architecture, and details I've photographed throughout my travels and creative journey.

But alongside my portrait work, my camera has always been taking me somewhere else.

I've photographed landscapes and wildlife, architecture and cities, coastlines and mountains. I've explored the American West and traveled internationally. I've photographed flowers, old buildings, working landscapes, unexpected details, and moments of light that made me stop in my tracks.

Sometimes I know exactly what has caught my attention.   Other times, I simply see something that makes me pause and think, I need to photograph that.

Those images have accumulated over the years, and I've always known that I wanted to give them a place of their own.

Lea Rhea Fine Art is that place.

Creating Lea Rhea Fine Art

It is a collection of photographs created because something about a place, a moment, a texture, a pattern, or a quality of light spoke to me.

Some images are quiet and contemplative. Others are bold. Some are recognizable places, while others invite you to simply experience them without needing to know exactly where they were made.

My goal isn't simply to document the places I've visited.  It is to create photographs that allow you to feel something when you look at them.

Perhaps an image reminds you of somewhere you've traveled. Perhaps it evokes a place you've always wanted to see. Or perhaps you simply love the way the light falls across a landscape or the way a particular composition makes you feel.

Because the most meaningful art isn't simply something we look at.

It is something we feel.

Explore the collections

The new website brings together several bodies of work, including The American West, Wild Places, Coastal Light, The Art of Place, Nature Reimagined, Details & Discoveries and Sacred Spaces.

Each collection reflects a different way I see the world through my camera.

And because artwork is ultimately meant to live somewhere—not just on a screen—the site also makes it easier to explore different presentation options and imagine artwork in your own space.

This is a new chapter, but it is built on something that has been part of my life for many years: the simple joy of seeing something beautiful, meaningful, or unexpected—and stopping long enough to capture it.
